Thank you for visiting our website to learn about how we may be of help to you or someone you care about.
Sadness, anxiety and frustration can leave us feeling alone and isolated. Often, we don't feel it is appropriate to confide in others for fear of burdening them or appearing helpless. This in turn can lead to long periods or even years of unnecessary suffering.
Our practice is founded on the belief that many of us suffer in isolation for far too long before seeking help. We also believe the profession of psychology has much to offer in the promotion of happiness and well-being. After reading about our services and clinician biographies we hope you will find Cognitive Therapy Orange County to be an excellent match for you or your loved one's needs.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Cognitive therapy (also known as cognitive-behavior therapy or CBT) is designed to be a compassionate and warm collaboration between you and your clinician. It has been developed over many decades by exceptionally skilled clinician-researchers to treat a wide variety of immediate and long standing life problems. These problems include depression, anxiety, panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma, moodiness, alcohol and substance abuse, relationship and family problems.
At Cognitive Therapy Orange County, in addition to teaching how to resolve and manage problems, we focus on improving overall quality of life by increasing happiness, meaningfulness and fulfillment. This additional emphasis on enhancing quality of life develops your resilience when future life challenges occur.
The treatments we offer are individually designed with you to overcome difficulties and improve your life by teaching you how your emotions influence your thinking and behavior. We accomplish this together through collaborative, goal oriented and supportive effort. We are continually impressed by the enduring and long standing improvements our patients achieve.
